Toshiba 15.6" i7 4700MQ 1TB 8GB WIN8 Notebooks Deals

By rbraz23 -(Ca)
Pros: Incredibly fast I-7 Processor, High-end Nvidia graphics card for the price range, sleek backlit keyboard, high quality harmon/kodon speakers, nice metallic finish

Cons: Screen resolution is lacking, ever-so-slight scratching sound

I would have given this five stars had it not been for the lackluster screen resolution. Honestly, everything about this laptop would make you think it's a laptop priced over $1000 (I got it for $750 off Rakuten which used to be buy.com), except for the screen resolution. My mom also bought a laptop recently from Dell for $350 and it has the exact same screen resolution - now tell me there isn't something wrong with that. But otherwise, it's a powerful mid-range laptop that will probably last me for a while.

Solid machine, took me a while to get used to the exhaust being on the right hand side. Handles all of the stuff I use it for :- CorelDRAW x6, LoL, WoW, watching movies and basic word processing.

Toshiba Satellite L45T-A4230NR 14-Inch Touchscreen Deals

This review is from: Toshiba Satellite L45T-A4230NR 14-Inch Touchscreen Laptop (Mercury Silver in Fusion Horizon) (Personal Computers)
Going into college I was looking for a good laptop but nothing fancy for my college budget. It's a great size, and I am starting to really like windows 8. The only thing is that the camera quality pretty much sucks, my iphone takes better pictures, but I don't really care because I don't spend time taking selfies or filming videos of myself for youtube or anything. Other than that, it's been perfect so far and was exactly what I was looking for.

Let me begin by saying that I have only owned Toshiba laptops and I have gone through three of them - and they lasted a long time, were durable, etc.. So, I got this laptop expecting the same level of quality. I was looking for a good priced touchscreen and thought I had found it - I loved the price, the size, the look (sleek), and everything worked well except the wireless. It kept dropping me off my wireless network at home and at work/school randomly. To the point where I couldnt take it anymore. I had a hard time installing my wireless printer as well (and thought that this may have been the cause of the problem - i read online that some wireless HP printers are just no compatible with some laptops). The other issue I had was that it would randomly highlight everything on the page (and this was not b/c of the lock feature on the keypad either). So it had to go. Nevertheless, Amazon was great about the return, I received a replacement within two days and returned the faulty one. Since I thought it was just a bad one of the bunch i replaced it with the same computer. It had the same issues - only on this one, the wireless dropped and the mousepad highlight 'everything' on the page more frequently. The mousepad also looked like it just wasnt built well. It was built slanted and so it was noticeably perpetually 'depressed'. So I returned it and went to buy something at a nearby store (and I typically get everything from Amazon so going to the store was also a sacrifice) - another Toshiba - and I spent more money on it - over $200 more- the semester was moving along and I couldnt afford to be without a laptop for long and needed to download programs. I got another laptop - so far so good, it is larger, but other then that the wireless signal seems to be weaker in some spots then other smaller laptops in the same vicinity and on the same wireless network (lenova, Asus, Imac)...I gave it two point because I liked everything else about this laptop - I just wished it worked like it should have.

The computer itself is great. The keyboard sucks. When typing you really have to punch the keys to operate, space bar does work as long as you push it hard. The key board feels cheap. I am currently looking to see if there is a replacement keyboard to replace it, no luck yet.

The intire keyboard flexes when you touch the keys. It feels like is will break very fast. No HDMI port as advertised. If you're used to Toshiba laptops and know they are generally durable, this is not like that. I can't believe Toshiba is selling such a shoddy product. I've had 5-6, this will be the last.
Tried to open/download the user manual direct from their tab and just errors, says manual located in a bad sector. I wish I could send this back but live in Latin America and it would cost too much. Do yourself a favor steer clear of this one.

When i got this laptop and started to set it up it frooze like three times so i had to hold down the power button to complete the initial setup. After about a two weeks of freezing up the wireless stopped working. I figured the freezing up would work itself out so that didn't really bothered me.But now the wireless don't work so i figured it was my wireless router so i upgraded to a better router. To my surprise that wasn't the problem. I had a computer guy i know looked at it for me and he said that the wireless card in the pc in defective, it would just dissapear and reappear when it feels like. After contacting the seller he told me that they have a 30 day return policy so i would have to contact toshiba, Wow. I am not in the country so now ill have to pay shipping to send it to toshiba. So now i just have a laptop looking at me. I wouldn't recommend this laptop at all. Be aware

Fast enough, but...I needed a power jack repair at the end of the first year, battery life has always been an issue, the battery will no longer hold a charge at the top of its second year, the speakers are just silly (be prepared to by an external set up), no Bluetooth, no HDMI. Unfortunately, the power jack repair didn't last, ergo it is destined for the bone yard.

This review is from: iPearl mCover HARD Shell CASE for 13.3" Toshiba Portege Z830 / Z835 / Z930 / Z935 series Ultrabook laptop - BLUE (Electronics)
I was a little skeptical that this product could really fit my Toshiba Protege Z935, since it only advertises that it fits the Z830 and Z835. But I checked the dimensions for my Z935 and they are the same. Bottom line is that it fits perfectly. The quality of this product is quite high and the fold-out legs on the bottom help give my laptop a nice tilt for typing. It added almost no additional weight as the material of the shell is very light. I would recommend this for protection of your Protege Ultrabook. It shipped in one day.

After reading several reviews that showed worry about the Toshiba Z835's thin cover, I got the mCover to make mine sturdier. I received it with the ultrabook and immediately snapped it onto it. The fit is perfect and it does feel more solid, although I haven't had any problems with the Toshiba's build. Ultrabook with cover traveled to Tanzania inside a Kata KT PL-3N1-35 Pro Light 3N1 35 Backpack - Black, enduring small airplanes and rough handling -- not mine! -- and did just fine.

Very good hard cover for the ultrabook and it fits perfectly. Each corner is reinforced when the cover is on. It comes in nice colors and I got the blue, which looks great. It does add some weight to the ultrabook, over half a pound. This is a small compromise, however, considering that it does such a good job of protecting the laptop. I highly recommend this cover.

J. Hunt "part time shopper" (usa):
I'm a computer nerd of old, but lately I just like to use them and not try to fix them or set them up. Back in the days of early laptops, in the 90s, I was not a big fan of Toshiba. This time around I figured why not, because it has better than the average specifications compared to the Sony, HP, Dell, etc. More memory, faster processor, equals faster computer.

This thing has full size keyboard, large screen, but still super light. For the price, I really don't think that there is a way to beat it.

We have only had it for a month, but in that time I think I have figured out that this will do just fine.

David King :
Light weight, fast and portable. Works great in my work environment as I have a Toshiba 3.0 docking station also. I can watch video's or attach to HDTV. I use Skype to make video or receive/make audio calls if necessary. It's battery life and small profile makes it perfect for me and it can play video's on any browser. I just wish it had a touch screen but I will add a touch monitor to my docking station so I guess it is somewhat of a work around. The price was competative and in line with other PC's but as for me I find it a hundred times more useful than a smart phone. I just plug it into the docking station and I have the computing power no phone can match! Besides when I go to dinner with my kids I don't spend the evening texting my every move. I'll read my e-mail after I'm done!

pegasus -:
Great ultrabook for the price. I not get a chance to do too much comparison before I bought this. This is extremely fast and reliable. However can't say the same thing about Windows 8... Pretty annoying almost "android" wannabe features.
The keyboard on this laptop requires a bit getting used as it is pretty slim but you'll get used to it within a few days use.
The sound on this is not great but that is not surprising on an ultrabook. You'd need external speakers if you want to listen to music on this. I use Skype frequently so feedback I get from the other side is very clear voice and picture.
Really light and I find myself using this versus my tablet these days because of the keyboard. Hope this helps!

I purchased this laptop for a family member who wanted a computer for word processing, web surfing, and very light online gaming (no heavy graphics). So far, this has been perfect for her. The speed is more than adequate for everything she needs done, and setup was easy. Like the other Toshiba notebook models I've tried, the keyboard feel wasn't to my personal preference, but she has no complaints.

 Candace :
This is a decent laptop for the price. I purchased this for school purposes. It does the job. I love how quiet and cool it stays no matter how long it's on. The material it's made of feels cheap to the touch. I have been using this laptop for a few weeks now without any issues, until the last two days. I have not added anything to the computer to cause it to be slow although the last two times i've tried starting it up it doesn't want to respond. The scroll feature on the mouse pad will randomly stop working as well as the key pad. Not a big fan of the windows 8 either.

Elizabeth Scott :
I love my lap top!!! It's taking me a while to understand it lol but I love it this laptop is absolutely beautiful!

Well, from the time I got this laptop it gave little to no problems, and very little lag and relatively fast boot up (turn on) time. It wakes up from sleep very quickly, the graphics are relatively good, so final verdict great laptop.

caughtinawebb:
I am a very busy working mother of two who is also a student and my husband works out of town. I purchased this computer and it took a very long time to arrive at my house. I was unable to open it for a couple of days because my life is VERY busy. When I did open it, I noticed that it was very creaky and it sounded like there are parts moving around inside of it. I spent extra money on Toshiba due to their recommendation. I usually buy from New Egg and Tiger Direct, I decided to try something new. I contacted the seller and they said that since it was outside of a week from purchase, I would have to pay over $100 in re-stocking fees. Instead I called TOshiba who apologized for Tech Points unfair policy. I will never buy from them again, nor will any of the thousands of people I know through work and school

Toshiba Satellite S875-S7356 17.3-Inch Deals

This review is from: Toshiba Satellite S875-S7356 17.3-Inch Laptop (Ice Blue Brushed Aluminum) (Personal Computers)
Great screen resolution, and the built in software that makes older DVDs look better actually works. Energy saver cuts in automatically if you leave the screen open and forget about it. The keyboard feels great, it's just like a full size desk top KB. The two button cursor pad reacts quickly and is easy to use with one hand. It is set up as an on line entertainment PC, so if you want to use it for work, about half the software on the computer is completely useless. Windows 8 comes with a start page, which is just an extra step to get where you want to be. It is obviously designed for internet touch screen devices and it's a useless addition for a device without a touch screen, but that's more a comment about W8 than about this computer. It's plug and play with everything I connected to it so far, so no installation CDs required for any of my devices. Logged on to the internet and it immediately registered Windows and was ready to go. Microsoft Internet Explorer 10 is just as bad as all the previous versions, so I replaced it with the latest version of Firefox. A lot of software on there either expires in 30 days or you have to sign up immediately to use, which is pretty much what you get on every computer, unlike the good old days when you got free full versions of things like MS Word, complete with install disk, which I just installed on this computer and it works just fine, so I don't have to pay Microsoft for new versions of the same old software! For work use, the speed and memory are more than sufficient, but I just spent a few hours playing the free Penguins game on it, and it only stalled once, I don't know why - maybe because I touched the pad with two fingers and it was confused. Only had it a week, but no problems yet.

When I received this I was having problems from the start with connecting to my mobile hotspot. My old computer there was no problems. So the first call they blamed it on interface problems with Windows 8, after asking my Grandson to attempt to hook up with his Dell/Windows 8, he had no problems connecting to my hotspot. So I returned the call and I was given a royal run around. They said they could fix my problem if I purchased a additional $149. level 3 tech assist package. After spending almost 2 hours on the phone with them trying to resolve my problem, one hour with my Son who is a network engineer I finally gave up and returned the computer.

Why should I have to pay $149. to get a new out of the box computer to work? Only plus with this transaction was Amazon's return policy! In addition, the call center is in the Phillipines and the accents are so profound that it's almost impossible to understand.

I only wish this came with Windows Vista! I know that many might like Win 8, but the software I use in my business cannot run on it. I'm at a standstill untill I can get Win 8 offand transfer old files via Vista. Not Toshiba or Microsoft's fault, but would be AWESOME if buyers could choose which OS was to be loaded on their purchase.

1. Works on an airplane due to low height of screen
2. Starts up quickly
3. Spreadsheets look great on the wide screen
4. Lots of real estate on the screen.

Cons
1. Not the most vivid colors on this display.
2. This is not Windows 8.
3. Not a touch screen.

The laptop boots super fast, it's really light and the battery lasts a long time. Given the great price, I thought it was definitely worth buying. The only things I don't like as much about it are the 20:9 aspect ratio and the fact that the screen is very wide but not tall at all. If this was a 16:9 regular wide-screen laptop it'd be a 5-star in my books.

I have had this computer for a little over a week now. I love the size and weight. Its perfect for carrying around between classes in college. The boot up is great due to the SSD and the battery life is great. Only thing about that, that some people don't get, is that you shouldn't have it at the highest brightness level the whole time you are on it. That is the only way this computer doesn't last at LEAST 3 hours. With average use through class doing things in office, visual basic programming, and internet surfing I can get over 4 hours easy even without eco mode which is awesome.

This review is from: Toshiba Satellite U945-S4140 14-Inch Ultrabook (Ice Blue with Fusion Lattice) (Personal Computers)
This Laptop is excellent in terms of performance and ability, but what I don't like is that it doesn't meet the 5 hour minimum battery life requirement to be considered a Ultrabook. This is largely due to the fact that it has a 4 cell battery. It gets closer to a 2.5 hour during normal usage. The Intel i5-3317U is a good processor. Heck I even got this rig to run Skyrim, and the frame rate was actually pretty good. If you're looking for a primary laptop then this is a good decision although there are still laptops in this price range that I prefer more...cough cough...Lenovo is awesome. Toshiba needs to make some improvements into the battery life, but in terms of responsiveness we got this device to boot in 11 seconds, from completely powered off to powered on state so that is pretty impressive considering this still runs a Hybrid Hard Drive. I do like that it has 2 USB 3.0s which are fantastic for flash drives and external hard drive. I've even appreciated that they can charge my tablet, Nexus 7, and phone, Galaxy S III, while the device is powered off, due to USB 3.0 and not because of any special Toshiba technology.

I use my laptop for nearly all my work and browsing time. I can spend hours processing video, recording, writing, reading, etc. I consider myself a heavy user.

After a fried motherboard on another machine, I bought this windows 8 model.

My trepidation was hearing all the reviews about the need for a touch screen with windows 8, and this model doesn't have it. After two weeks of heavy use, I've figured out how to work with windows 8 to do what I need as if I was in windows 7. The new start screen is a layer that is useless for me, so I've reverted to the familiar desktop.

The F1-F12 keys came with a configuration that is different than all my other laptops - the special functions were the default - as in F4 switched the displays to an unconnected monitor (that's annoying). The F2 key was rigged to switch between active windows (CTRL Tab), rather than to edit a cell in a worksheet. All the keyboard short cuts I've been working with for years were not default. I had to tool around to figure out how to undo that unhelpful setting.

Here is the annoyance.

The mouse pad is way too sensitive to react to the heat of my hands, causing the cursor to jump around on the screen to where ever the pointer is when I'm typing. I can't tell you how many times this causes errors, formatting changes mid screen, loss of focus and how many times I've hit "buttons" when I'm not done writing. The other day, this happened so much I almost through the machine out the window.

UPDATE: JUNE 13, 2013. . . This problem is unfixable via the touch pad settings. It seems the sensitivity fields extend even an 1/2 inch off beyond the track pad. I have made the zone as small as possible, require the heaviest touch and still, the mouse jumps around. I am forced to by a Usb mouse and disable the track pad.

Annoyance 2:
The mic jack on the laptop has a ground loop buzz, only when the machine is plugged into a powersource. If I want to record an audio, or talk with someone VOIP via the headphone jack, the laptop must be unplugged, obviously limiting.

The same is true with a usb headeset I own - it has a buzz when recording, only when the power supply is on.

I have a Dynex usb external mic on a stand. It works correctly whether the laptop is plugged in or not.

I purchased a Toshiba Satellite U9450-S4140 Ultrabook to carry with me when traveling or away from my desktop system. I have a technical background and believed this model of Toshiba Satellite offered a good mixture of performance and value.

The Toshiba Satellite U9450-S4140 arrived in about 3 days after placing my order. It came double-boxed and seemed to be in reasonable condition. All the seals were in tact. After opening it I found that the bottom cover providing access to the hard drive and memory was not snapped on correctly. This was easy to fix but disappointing. I would assume it left the factory this way.

I've spent the last few days setting up my Toshiba Satellite U9450-S4140 Ultrabook with the software and features I use most often. It is reasonably fast for the price. Had I been willing to invest a little more, I would've expected discreet graphics and an SSD. Based on the price I paid I'm satisfied with the performance of Windows 8, as well as that of the programs I use most often.

So at this point I'm cautiously optimistic. Nevertheless, I did find another issue with the build quality. When I removed the battery to figure out how it detached, I noticed the plastic casing around the hinges of the screen were not snapped together correctly. I tried to fix this the same as I had the bottom cover but realized it had been damaged during the assembly process. At this point this does not interfere with the usage of the Toshiba Satellite U9450-S4140 Ultrabook, but it is a cosmetic problem. I can't help but assume these are put together so hastily that there are build issues. I simply hope this doesn't mean my ultrabook will fall apart the more I use it. If you can find similar specs at a reasonable price from a manufacturer other than Toshiba, you might be better off considering it.

I just got this laptop today and, so far, seems great and running fast. The only thing I either can't find or it doesn't have is a keyboard backlight. I'm still getting used to the Windows 8 as I have an HP that is Windows 8. Too many things are hiding where you have to really look for them which takes time. Otherwise I'm happy.

Worth the money! Easy play, pause and volume buttons at the top of the keyboard. It's a full keyboard by the way. The only thing I thought was a little disappointing was that it didn't come with Microsoft Word, but I can always buy it later. On the pus side it comes with Windows 8 up and ready for you.The screen is nice and crisp. The speakers are on the top of the laptop, like right on top of the keyboard, so the sound is excellent(somebody was smart enough to realize speakers shouldn't be on the bottom on the laptop). This laptop isn't really for a gamer or anything, it's more for people who need a replacement or for college students like myself.

I am a freshman at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas and I have been laptop hunting for awhile. I finally decided on this one. Not only is it super affordable, compared to the overpriced HPs and Asus models available at LU's on-campus bookstore, but it has Windows 8 which is super fast and crystal clear. I love my laptop, and I have only had it for a few days! It is easy to use, very fast, and an excellent size. I recommend buying the separate $129 coverage for accidental spills and drops. I was looking for a laptop with a good processor that would get me through college but cost less than $500. I ordered this refurbished model from amazon and I have nothing to complain of so far. Its display is crisp. It is about what you would expect as far as speed goes. It is by no means slow, and gets tasks done without wasting time. The speakers are loud enough for a laptop. The touchpad is excellent and easy to scroll with two-finger touch. In addition its zoom feature when you bring your fingers together or apart is handy. The webcam has a maximum resolution of 1.0 megapixels (I was not able to find that info. in the specs online). The microphone is fine, and about what you would expect. The case itself is fairly sturdy. I believe it could stand a 3 or 4 foot drop without significant damage. Altogether I have now used it for a month and a half and have had no problems with it. I would recommend it.

I bought this because I have had good lack with Toshiba products. However, for some reason (I'm sure someone will have an opinion) they offset the keyboard and although it is in centered on the letter keypad, it just doesn't seem right. There is numerical keypad to the right and I presume they centered the touch pad with the letter keypad for that reason. But for me it is not good. I feel like I'm only utilizing 2/3 of the computer since the number keypad is rarely used. I'm focused on the keypad that is left of center. I find myself having to consciously look to the right side of the screen. Also, when I have the computer on my lap, since it is laptop, the right side is, well off the right side of my leg. Just doesn't feel balanced. I researched this computer and the pictures did not (in my opinion) clearly show the offset. So when I went to pick it up there was not a display so I just bought it and took it home. My fault. I suggest physically going to see this thing and check it out before you buy it. Also, not crazy about Windows 8. I'm not a huge tech guy and it seem confusing an difficult to use.

Replaced my old Toshiba with this one and was not disappointed. Fairly good speakers for a small laptop. Lighted keyboard is a plus. No issues playing high quality HD video without lag. Shop around, BB smokes this price.

Shopped around a lot before buying this laptop. Other laptops may have more features/performance but I felt the $$$ went up faster than the features. Very happy with this purchase, definitely got my moneys worth.

Defanatly a very good laptop for the money. I'd recommend you shop around. I picked this up at a local retailer for 629. I don't think you can do high end gaming on this computer though. I have yet to see this computer slow down. I love how you get 4 usb 3.0 ports. the speakers sound awesome and the mic is good as well. I really don't think you will find a computer with this much performance for the money. Plus the expandability to 16 gb ram is awesome. I picked up the coolermaster x2 notebook cooler for this thing and it works perfectly to keep it cool. The battery life is not the best. I'd say 3 hours or so. I do wished it had bluetooth but it's not a deal breaker for me. The keyboard is not all that bad. The best keyboard I ever used on a laptop was on a macbook pro but this keyboard is not bad.

Well, from the time I got this laptop it gave little to no problems, and very little lag and relatively fast boot up (turn on) time. It wakes up from sleep very quickly, the graphics are relatively good, so final verdict great laptop.

Great machine! Beautiful keyboard layout and screen! The touchpad is very sensitive but when typing you can just shut it off with two taps on the left side top of the pad. The machine is quick on the upload and plays games quite well. Has a cd/DVD drive which plays DVD movies. There was some confusion on whether or not it played Blu-Ray...I have discovered that it does not. Overall a great value. Would recommend.

My Toshiba laptop was an excellent price and works great. This seller is not like some where you commit to buying a big ticket item, pay a good chunk of change and then get crappy service or slow delivery. No, I've experienced that before and against my better judgment I gave ETech a try paying $528 for a professional grade laptop. I had to. The price was just too good. Long story short, my faith in eCommerce for big ticket items is restored. Thank you for the fast delivery and a great laptop!

I bought this laptop has a birthday gift for me. So far it's working pretty good. It took me a little bit to get use to using Windows 8 but going through the different programs is like using a smartphone. I would recommend it for someone who's on a budget that's looking for a laptop that's up to date with big name brands without the big price.

For some reason, this one kept going to sleep after a minute or two of no use. I obviously checked the power settings and that was not the problem. I don't think it's a common problem as I have a 17.3" Toshiba and have had zero problems. (Hopefully I won't jinx myself) I did return this one and utilized Amazons superb return process. I would say just be aware of what happened to me and go from there. Hope this helps your decision process.

Normally I never have time to write a review. The product must be incredible good or bad.
I don't live in USA, so it is hard for me to make returns, because normally returns expires before I receive the goods in my country.

Basically the mouse pad never works, the computer freeze many times and I had to restart it manually. Windows 8 crashes very often, So I decided to install Ubuntu, but with Ubuntu the wireless card wasn't detected and mouse pad also never works. Now I probably will give to my daughter to play and this mean basically I lost my investment.

Toshiba 15.6" i7 4700MQ 1TB 8GB WIN8 Notebooks Deals

By rbraz23 - (CA)

Title says it all. This laptop is great for the price... IF you can handle Windows 8. Dedicated 2gb gfx card makes gaming nice. Back lit keyboard is very nice for night/low light use.
The computer is very good. The audio is good. The only problem is that the adapter is very big, although the computer is just 5.3.

Horrible experience! Buyers beware. Toshiba Laptop was purchased in August for son at college. Never able to open Windows 365. Toshiba referred us to to a company, Teqkey. Teqkey charged us $100 for one-time diagnostics after which they said Windows 365 is corrupt, needs to be restarted - but need software key. Key not provided to us by (we thought) Amazon.
Amazon points to a company, Two Cougars. Amazon rep explained that TC is basically the company from which we are purchasing the laptop. Five (5) messages later we are still trying to explain what we need. Nice looking Laptop . If only it was usable. Oh! And if we want to return it? Product must go to Toshiba.

I have had this laptop for two days and used all Toshiba for the last 15 years. This is the first laptop I have gotten that I would not recommend. First the good, the keyboard. I love Toshiba keyboards. I type about 90 wpm, and so I need a very smooth, high speed keyboard, and this laptop has a good one.

The bad- the wifi is super week, and drops the signal where my other laptops on the same table remain well hooked up. On day two, today, the computer was frozen in the morning and needed a hard reboot to start. The mouse freezes all the time and won't release for over 30 seconds, the computer itself is VERY slow switching between windows.

All in all for under 400 bucks it lights up, and what more can I ask for, but I would not buy this model again.

One last thing, I know I said I like the keyboard, but I am noticing while writing this review that I strike keys and the keyboard misses them. So, not that impressed with the keyboard either, even though it feels very smooth.

I bought this as a new school laptop and it works great. The new windows works great with old programs. You just have to go into properties and change your settings to be able to use old programs. This is not a gaming laptop, but great for school.

We really love this laptop. It has made room on my desk for other items I use daily that I couldn't have here before. Also convenient to use in other areas of home as before couldn't.

This review is from: iPearl mCover HARD Shell CASE for 13.3" Toshiba Portege Z830 / Z835 / Z930 / Z935 series Ultrabook laptop - CLEAR (Electronics)
This case is great, it fits perfect and is very easy to remove or put on without causing any damage to the ultrabook. Those of u who have the toshiba ultrabook would experience how flimsy the screen is, this case provides more rigidity and some peace of mind that your screen wouldnt crack as easily as others have. There is adequate number of vents below for cooling also the kick stands comes in quite handy. I would definitely recommend this product!

Bought two of these for two different ultrabooks. They fit perfect, and have not broken yet. They add a bit of weight (about a pound) to the super-light ultrabook, but at least I won't get my fingerprints on the shiny metal casing. I like to keep my things new, and glad that there is at least one product (so far) that can do the job for me. Thanks iPearl for making this, when it seems noone else has.

I ordered a black cover. It didn't fit. I returned it and ordered another pair of the black ones. When it arrived it also didn't fit. Then I got the transparent version and it fits. Oh, well. I guess it's fine, though I liked the black one better.

edit (2012/12/11) I grew into liking the transparent ones, so I didn't accept iPearl's offer to send me a free pair of the black ones, which they told me would fit as long as I followed their advice, namely:

"And, if the case is too tight, here is a tip for installing or taking off the cover easily: If the environment temperature is low, use a hairdryer to heat those small tabs for 30 seconds, then it will be very easy to install or take off the cover."

So I can't say whether it works or not. If someone finds this out would he let me know so I can change my original rating?

Good product, it just doesn't work with my computer and isn't compatible... But other people said that it works well.. It took a few weeks for the manufacturers to reach me about the lap top case and they were very generous in refunding my money and shipping that I spent to order there product. Additionally, they offered to send me a new one free of charge if they could find a case that fits. Company was very professional.. Although, it took a little while to get in contact directly with them, they were very easy to work with. Highly recommend due to customer service and their product!

We bought this laptop for a student & we LOVE it!! It is perfect for what we need it for. We got it for $299 at WalMart.com & the extended warranty too for $29.

I was a bit nervous about it because another reviewer complained about the volume, but we find the volume to be fine. It isn't going to shatter any windows, but it is perfectly fine for listening to music while computing, etc. I wouldn't turn up the volume to listen to music across a room, but like I said, it is great for listening to music, while surfing the net, etc. I will say I HATE WINDOWS 8 100%, but that is not a computer performance issue... that is an OS issue.

If you want to listen to loud music get some decent plug in speakers & there you go. For $300 you certainly can't expect so much. It is a basic laptop that serves it purpose well for those seeking champagne on a beer budget.

This is a great laptop for those on a tight budget... it has a good amount of RAM & a decent hard drive for the money... PLUS the hard drive can be expanded to increase capacity AND the RAM can be beefed up, which is a big plus in my book because we can update it before we need to replace it.

So far it is a WIN, WIN!! I will update down the road after we've had it for a while.
